September 2024 saw the release of 'Heimwee', Eefje de Visser's fifth studio album. The follow-up to success album 'Bitterzoet' is full of hypnotic alternative pop, as only Eefje makes it. With this fifth album, the Dutch songwriter further expands her unique universe with adventurous arrangements, rich harmonies and magically realistic lyrics about deeply human themes.

'Homesick' is a personal record about the growth process of a human being wondering how to live. It is an album that embraces you and makes you dance, that sounds light and grounded. Eefje challenges herself and seeks new angles. On “Homesick,” Eefje combines acoustic beats, sultry bass lines and sparkling synths with lush strings and seventies-style harmony vocals (including her father in the chorus). In the process, her voice often acts as an instrument unto itself.
