Library Card

Rotterdam's Library Card are a band of contrasts. Expressive yet thoughtful, abrasive yet melodious, explosive yet introvert.

Formed in the summer of 2021, the tight-knit quartet's music restlessly fluctuates between angular post-punk, post-rock and garage, and even in a city known for its wayward guitar music, they've quickly become a standout.

Spearheaded by Lot van Teylingen's spoken word - sardonic and sincere in a matter of seconds- the band leaves equal room for Emre Karayalçin's unorthodox rhythms, Kat Kalkman's driving bass lines and Mitchell Quitz's shape-shifting guitar.

No single element outshines another; that balance defines them.

Within six months of their first official gig, Library Card were supporting Sports Team in a 2000-capacity hall and closing Rotterdam's Left of the Dial festival. Since then, highlights have included showcases at ESNS and multiple shows at SXSW, support slots for OSEES, and appearances at Le Guess Who?, Best Kept Secret, Into The Great Wide Open, Dour and Supersonic, among others. The band have also toured across Germany, Denmark, France, Austria and the Czech Republic.
