Since their debut single “Teen Rebel”, The Haunted Youth has grown into a phenomenon in the dream pop scene, both in Belgium and far beyond. Joachim Liebens and his band combine dreamy guitars and nostalgic synthesizers with deeply personal lyrics. The success is impressive: debut album ‘Dawn of the Freak’ was named ‘Album of the Week’ by Rolling Stone France, and the band also impressed on large stages from London to Madrid and at festivals such as Rock Werchter, Pukkelpop, Lowlands, Sziget, and Iceland Airwaves.
Now it is time for the next chapter: 'Boys Cry Too', an intense album about loss, despair, anger, and hope, will be released on May 8.
The band has just returned from a sold-out tour of Europe, with the icing on the cake being four (4!) sold-out shows at the Royal Circus. In total, this accounts for over 14,000 tickets. The logical culmination follows on Thursday, March 25, 2027, when The Haunted Youth gives their largest indoor concert to date at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp.
