Benny Sings is a prolific songwriter, multi-platinum awarded producer and artist from Amsterdam. Benny has made his name over a 2-decade career as a singer, songwriter and producer, amassed 2 billion streams across his catalogue so far.
Benny has honed a signature sound while creating a colorful catalog of essential pop gems that have led to loyal global following, with fans including John Mayer, Anderson .Paak and Jamie Cullum. Benny has collaborated with a wide range of artists across different genres like Kenny Beats, Tom Misch, Mac DeMarco, Cory Henry, PJ Morton, Marc Rebillet, Emily King, Free Nationals, Mayer Hawthorne, Nulbarich, Polo & Pan, Mocky, Rae Khalil & Cornelius. He co-wrote and produced platinum awarded singles and chart topping albums for UK artist Rex Orange County including ‘Lovin Is Easy’ and ‘Who Cares’. He was nominated for an Edison Award in 2016, 2023 & 2024 and won a Buma Music In Motion Award in 2024. He has been involved in various other creative projects including animated Netlix serie ‘Carol & Tuesday’ and ‘We Are The People’ feat H.E.R, Janelle Monea, Adam Lambert and others.
Benny Sings made his return with Beat Tape III in September 2025, the latest installment of his beat tape series on Stones Throw Records. The project marks his first release since his 2023 album Young Hearts, which was co-produced with Kenny Beats and featured Remi Wolf.
Beat Tape III is an assembly of chance sessions and rare collaborations, each track telling a story of its own: a jam with Jacob Jeffries of Vulfpeck in Amsterdam, a demo with Grammy-nominated Leven Kali, or a cut recorded with Kelsey González of The Free Nationals. More than a collection of outtakes, the project is a portrait of the process, the people, and the moments that shape Benny’s music.
