Vjèze Fur (Freddy Tratlehner), WiWa (Olivier Locadia), Faberyayo (Pepijn Lanen) and producer Bas Bron broke through in 2005 with the monster hit Watskeburt?! That same year, they played at Lowlands for the first time and released their debut album Parels Voor De Zwijnen. With their catchy, genre-transcending sound, they paved the way for hip-hop to reach mainstream audiences in the Netherlands and Belgium. In 2006, De Jeugd won both a 3FM Award and an Edison in the category Best Newcomer.
This is followed by hits like Stardust and Get Spanish and many albums: The Machine (2008), The Laughing Third (2010), Yes, Natúúrlijk! (2013) and Manon (2015). In February 2018, their sixth album Luek will be released, to be followed already in November of the same year by their seventh album Anders (Different). Their eighth album Modern Ways will be released in 2023.
