On fourth pitch “Niemandsland,” Johannes Faes aka Tourist LeMC goes in search of answers to the little questions life presents us. As ever, he pairs social-critical thinking with introspection, with his poetry casting a nostalgic glance at the past, alternately anchored in the present and with a steadfast leg in the future. Since the early days of debut “Antwerps Testament,” the cards of John's life have been thoroughly reshuffled. A few Belpop classics like 'Liefde Liefde', 'Horizon', 'Spiegel' and 'Koning Liefde' richer, the wonderful world of fatherhood unraveled and in the meantime steadily evolved as a human being, as a lyricist. All this results in a fresh load of pared-down, mature and dead-on songs. After albums “En Route” and “We Begrijpen Mekaar,” Tourist occasionally peers into the rearview mirror and muses ... Are we all in the middle of nowhere? Are we dwelling enough on what is truly crucial? Why are we valued based on materialism? Small questions that resonate on “Niemandsland,” where someone is something and no one is everything. Tourist LeMC can also be seen this year as a brand new coach in 'The Voice van Vlaanderen' and in the new season of 'Liefde Voor Muziek'.
